- I am a Nursing Student who spent a semester on an oncology unit and was greatly affected by the prevalence of blood cancers. My aunt is currently fighting breast cancer and my grandfather died of lung cancer (nonsmoker).
I have joined with the Leukemian and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training to train to run 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. I hope that my fundraising can help bring the society 13.1 miles closer to a cure.
