It's been a nightmarish football season for Codi Boek, but injuries haven't stalled the scholarship pursuit. The former Del Campo star who had his American River College freshman season cut short with a broken arm will make a recruiting visit to Boston College, ranked No. 2 in the country. Boek already earned high mark
>>Nate and I have been playing phone tag the last couple of days ..so here's the good news from his email.
Hope you have heard the good news --this cancer shit is on the run. My markers have dropped down off the charts from 3,500 down to 45. We are not changing anything in my recovery schedule ..so as usual I'm a work in progress. but I'm gonna be around awhile and that's the good news. Hope you have heard the good news --this cancer shit is on th

The following email is a response to an announcement sent out to introduce Nate's Network to others within the Ning community of networks. My intention was to find several people willing to help contribute by way of finding and posting on this network information that may be useful to Nate and others. This gentleman has a couple of good ideas ..one that I am sure I can help him with and the other which is out of my area of expertise -fund raising for cancer research. If any members would like to… Continue
Now with Codi home, there's nothing Nate can't do. Seen together in one of Judy's photos --Nate and Codi flexing for the camera ..notice the new doos. I have to tell you Nate, Codi and everyone ..I laughed so hard that I almost wet myself. Continue
My hair has grown back now, but going bald from chemotherapy really brought out the "Anything Goes" Berkeley girl that was just waiting to
be expressed! Three years ago this month I had 3 tumors and 7 lymph
nodes removed from my breast. All the tumors and 2 of the nodes were
positive for cancer.
Thanks everyone for signing up for Nate's Network and helping out. The site has had just under 3500 hits in about three weeks ..membership is at 41 and growing daily. This Sunday alone we had five new members. The last few days we've averaged over 300 hits. We're getting Nate's Bracelets out there, people are volunteering to help with meals, house cleaning, yard work, gathering helpful info online and posting to the Forum and Blog. This is starting to become a community effort ..and not just Fai… Continue

Mary, our member from Ontario, Canada sent me the following note. I'm so very happy for you Mary. Your message is encouraging. Thanks.
Hi GMcP thanks for welcoming me, I'm a nurse breast cancer survivor diagnosed in 2005. The balloon pic was taken on the last day of radiation treatment. I do believe that cancer is a test of endurance, something to overcome. For me with regard to treatment it had a clear beginning and a clear end but will be something that I will always be vigilan
I'm searching for good alternative cancer therapy related sights ..and asking all interested to give about 10 -15 min. a week or month to look up, find, then post anything discovered on the internet that might help my friend Nate fight his cancer which was just diagnosed last week. That's info on treatment, diet or even positive stories relating to fighting cancer. Nate is currently using conventional treatment ..and so, I'm looking for any and all alternative angles that may be used along with… Continue
I ordered 50 yellow Team Nathan Boek bracelets that should arrive in a couple of weeks. They are $1.80 each. If you would like one contact Linda Horvath at lhorvathrn@aol.com, or 965-6627; or contact Jim Rodine at jrodine@raleys.com, or 863-1565. We thought this would be a great way to show support for Nate! ...Linda

Hey Everyone... Nate had his last chemo treatment of the first cycle. He has done extremely well through this first cycle. No telling what's in store for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cycles. One step at a time!
Please know how much Nate appreciates the food, visits, cards, etc... He is overwhelmed with the support. However, during chemo treatments, his immune system is SERIOUSLY compromised. With that he is suseptible to colds, flus and germs in general. PLEASE, if you
To make this network easier for all to use ..let's post all announcements on the Blog and keep the Forum area for research posting. Linda's, Jim's, and Judy's posts would have been easier to notice for everyone had it been set up this way. I'll cross post to the Blog for them. Let me know how I can make this network easier to use. So far it's looking pretty good. New members are signing up and more people are posting. I hope the research posts increase with the increase in membership. All are we… Continue
